Responsible for wrapping and labeling meat products, stocking display cases, and operating meat processing equipment. Maintains cleanliness and food safety standards in the meat department while restocking supplies and ensuring product quality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Wraps and labels meat products using commercial wrapping machines, ensuring accurate pricing, weight, product codes, and expiration dates in compliance with company and food safety standards.
- Stocks and rotates products in display cases, maintaining proper temperature control, product freshness, and an attractive presentation for
- customers.
- Operates meat grinder and other processing equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Cleans and sanitizes the meat department thoroughly, including the meat room, walk-in cooler, cutting tables, grinders, slicers, tools, and utensils, in accordance with health regulations and company policies.
- Monitors product quality, removing damaged or expired items and ensuring all products meet freshness and safety standards.
- Restocks packaging materials and department supplies, such as trays, wrapping film, labels, gloves, and cleaning products to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
